As a QC Engineer at Amp, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of smart fitness hardware products. You will be responsible for executing and improving quality control processes during material receipt, production, and final inspection stages. This position requires technical acumen, hands-on inspection ability, and strong analytical and communication skills. You will work closely with suppliers, production, and cross-functional teams to uphold the company&aposs quality standards and contribute to product excellence
What Youll Do:
- Perform Incoming, In-Process, and Final Quality Control inspections according to defined standards and procedures.
- Identify, classify, and document product defects (Critical, Major, Minor) and ensure compliance with AQL sampling plans.
- Operate and maintain inspection tools such as calipers, multimeters, gauges, microscopes, color meter, 2.5D / CMM (advantage) and other precision equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain accurate QC documentation including inspection reports (FAI), checklists, and control records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality metrics, reduce defects, and improve yields.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by performing validation tests, reliability checks, and providing feedback on design for manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards such as IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, and other applicable regulatory and customer requirements.
What Were Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
- 15 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within electronics, consumer products, or manufacturing industries.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with IPC standards, AQL sampling methodology, and quality control tools.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Skilled in using measurement and inspection equipment.
- Experience with root cause analysis methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto) and CAPA processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
