The APAC Business Quality Manager is responsible for owning and driving customer‑facing quality for GAIN in the China and APAC region. The role identifies gaps between Nouryon's standard quality systems and customer requirements, and leads the implementation of strategies, processes, and improvements to strengthen systems, capabilities, and a strong quality mindset—ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth.
In your future role as a Quality Business Partner you will:
- Regional responsibility with global exposure, own and drive China and APAC business quality priorities for GAIN, with decision authority on customer quality topics, escalation, and alignment of manufacturing site actions. Responsible for owning all customer facing elements of quality.
- Provide technical and quality expertise to support sales teams and customers in China and APAC; is subject matter expert for our products and customer applications.
- Implement the quality strategy for the business to improve the business value proposition. Align with local teams to execute and continuously improve quality/quality programs. (Statistical analysis techniques - SQC/SPC/STC, process change notifications, change control, supplier management, dispositions process, etc.)
- Interface between customer and local manufacturing plants for quality matters. Identify and execute improvements to quality management system and routines both internally and with customers
- Lead investigations and provide customer report on product quality excursions
- Support manufacturing sites to improve QA/QC by improving analytical methods
- Lead key strategic projects and guide local project resources to execute improvements for the business. Prioritize the capital plans along with the business segment leaders.
- Interface with corporate R&D and Technology resources to implement new products, grades, and methods as required.
- Build and maintain quality relationships with local sales and support staff of technology leaders (OEM's)
- Align with key functions to execute business processes (business planning, process and quality control, manufacturing, fleet planning, PSRA, capital execution, among others) as the applications and quality leader for GAIN (HPMO, Levasil, CMC, EXPANCEL, etc.)

We believe you bring:
- University graduate (Chemistry, Chemical or related engineering), Post Graduate Degree is preferred.
- >5 years work experience from technical/quality management
- Experience from working in or with Automotive, Electronics and SEMI industry. Lean & 6 Sigma,IATF 16949, VDA6.3, SEMI is preferred.
- Fluent in English written as well as spoken, Fluent in other languages, especially Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, etc. is preferred.
- Knowledge of Data analysis, MSA, FMEA, RCPS, CAPA, 8D reporting is preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Strong problem‑solving capability and customer focus.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certified auditor is preferred.
