What You'll Do
The Quality Engineer is responsible for improving 3-phase UPS product quality to meet customer requirements, failure analysis to identify root cause and corrective action related to internal and external quality performance, supporting facility internal and external quality related audits, and providing technical direction to production and inspection team.
1. Responsible for 3-phase UPS product quality control of the entire production process from samples to mass production, seeking to improve product quality through engineering control, testing and processes improvement (PFMEA/CP)
- Responsible for solving quality issues occurred during production, handling quality abnormalities and quality improvement
- Monitor process parameters (e.g., power modules, transformers, battery systems) to ensure consistency and reliability
- Apply quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC) for risk analysis and process monitoring
- Support new product introduction (NPI/STP) to ensure mass production quality and reliability
- Responsible for handling customer issues, leading quality meeting reviews, and responding to customers with 8D reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited institution
1 to 2 years of related experience
Previous experience in process quality engineering
3 to 5 years of related experience in power electronics or UPS products
Master's degree in Engineering.
Skills
Good English skill
Strong statistical analysis skills, proficient in Excel or statistical software
Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
Working knowledge of drawings and specifications interpretation
Working knowledge in functional measuring equipment usage. Familier with problem solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis)
Knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (ISO 9001)
Knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements
Six Sigma Green belt certified or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
