Python Developer

Experience: 3–5 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills, experience building production-grade applications, and a solid understanding of software engineering best practices. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is a plus.

The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and backend services.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Debug and resolve production issues while ensuring minimal downtime.
• Design and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, and frontend developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
• Implement automated unit and integration tests.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Strong understanding of REST API design and development.
• Good knowledge of object-oriented programming and design principles.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (PyTest, Unittest, etc.).
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.

Good to Have

• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.

• Experience with cloud-native application development on AWS.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
• Understanding of security best practices for web applications and APIs.
• Basic exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI application development is an added advantage.
