At lululemon, the Global Trade team enables lululemon's growth by ensuring our products move seamlessly and compliantly across borders around the world. Global Trade has three key focus areas, and its teams are built accordingly: Compliance, Operations and Optimization. Compliance ensures our processes adhere to global and local trade and customs regulations and standards, and our approach to core trade competencies (classification, duties, valuation) is optimized. Operations deliver our day-to-day trade and customs procedures. Optimization is our data analysis and reporting engine, enabling us to monitor our performance and continuously improve. Project Managers within Global Trade service all three areas, and support our internal partners (e.g., Global Fulfilment/Logistics, Franchise, Finance, Tax).
This role is a hybrid role and will include onsite work in an office located in Hong Kong.
This individual may require flexibility with their working hours to accommodate work with international teams from time to time.
This role is focused on our international markets, leading the setup of new distribution centres and scalable trade processes that support lululemon's continued expansion while strengthening resilience, consistency, and operational excellence across our global network.
- Project initiation and planning (set the project up for success)
- Conduct fit‑gap, cost‑benefit, and options analyses
- Build business cases to support executive decision‑making
- Clarify project scope and objectives, document project charters and execution plans, defining scope, timelines, milestones, resourcing, stakeholders, risks, and costs
- Define KPIs and a benefits realization plan
- Lead onboarding and engagement of cross‑functional teams and external partners
- Project delivery (support our teams and internal partners)
- Facilitate cross-functional project delivery and accountability
- Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions
- Maintain momentum and focus of a cross-functional team
- Enable effective, timely decision making
- Maintain stakeholder alignment and engagement
- Project governance and reporting (manage the project responsibly)
- Track and report progress against milestones, KPIs, and metrics
- Facilitate project cadences and status updates
- Escalate and manage changes to scope, timeline, resourcing, or budget
- Lead retrospectives and document insights and lessons learned
- Ensure best practice project management standards are followed
- 3+ years of project management or equivalent experience (e.g., consulting)
- Proven ability to independently deliver projects with measurable impact
- Experience initiating projects, including business cases, scope, budgets, resourcing, and success metrics
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile)
- Strong analytical and executive‑level recommendation skills
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving results
- Demonstrated success leading through influence across diverse stakeholders
- Clear, proactive, and concise communicator
- Hands‑on experience with PM tools and artifacts (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, RAID, RACI)
- Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning
- 5+ years of project management or equivalent experience
- Project management and/or agile certification (e.g., PMP, CSM, CSPO)
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and core IT systems concepts
- Experience delivering projects or programs within trade/customs and/or retail environments
- Hands‑on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com)
