Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Project Manager for AML (Anti-Money Laundering) business process enhancement and system implementation initiatives in the Singapore office.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and collaborate closely with the AML Department, Planning Department, Operations Department, Head Office, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Drive project execution by coordinating activities, managing deliverables, and ensuring adherence to quality and governance standards.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement through regular communication with senior management, business users, IT teams, and external partners.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, while proactively resolving issues to minimize impact on project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, prepare status reports, and facilitate project governance and steering committee meetings.
  • Oversee vendor management activities, including deliverable reviews, contract administration, and performance monitoring.
  • Evaluate and manage change requests, conduct impact assessments, and ensure proper approval and implementation processes are followed.
  • Ensure quality assurance across all project deliverables and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to validate business requirements and system readiness.
  • Ensure project outcomes align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards related to AML compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience within the financial services industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing AML and Compliance-related projects in a banking or financial institution environment.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes, operations, and systems, particularly within the AML and financial crime compliance domain.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams including business users, IT, compliance, operations, and external vendors.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
  • Proficiency in project management tools and documentation, including MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Broad AML domain knowledge, including KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Transaction Monitoring, Transaction Filtering, Name Screening, and Sanctions Compliance.
  • Prior experience working within a bank's AML, Compliance, or Financial Crime function is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating and managing relationships with Japan-based stakeholders and regional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in cutover planning, data migration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for multi-country implementations.
  • Experience delivering digital assets, cryptocurrency, or blockchain-related projects is advantageous.
