This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organisation need and individual performance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the safety performance and conduct safety inspections and audits of the works for both TSD staff and contractors and proactively resolve safety related issues and potential hazards
- Coordinate with both internal and external parties to manage the works to ensure that it is conducted in a safe and efficient manner with minimal impact to daily airport operations
- Conduct incident and accident investigation, recommend remedial measures to prevent recurrence and compile accident statistics, and identify root cause and formulate improvement actions with the contractors
- Review, comment and approve contractor's submissions on safety method statement and risk assessment etc
- Perform shift duties including overnight shift if required
Requirements:
- Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate holder in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or other related disciplines with at least 8 years of relevant experience in supervision of maintenance and/or construction works
- Degree holder in related disciplines with 6 years of relevant working experience will also be considered
- Registered Safety Officer / Auditor with the Labour Department is preferred
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese with knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Holder of a valid HK driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred
