Job Summary
The Project Engineer Intern will support the project team in the planning, coordination, and execution of ELV system projects. The intern will gain practical exposure to system design reviews, site installations, testing and commissioning, project documentation, and stakeholder coordination under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to support timely project execution.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders on project requirements and site activities.
- Attend site meetings, inspections, and project discussions as required.
- Assist in reviewing system designs, drawings, and technical documentation before installation.
- Support the supervision and coordination of installation works carried out by technicians and service partners.
- Assist with system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and rectification works.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and project team.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project trackers, reports, timesheets, and expense submissions.
- Ensure that project activities comply with client requirements, project specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of ELV, security, communication, or building systems will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of IP technology and networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, routing, and switching, will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to learn and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Able to work in a site environment and travel to different project locations when required.
