Project Co-ordinator II
The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA) is a multifaceted unit overseeing undergraduate admissions, scholarships, and financial aid, and plays a strategic role in advancing the University's admissions goals. OAFA is looking for energetic, highly motivated, and independent candidates who are passionate about striving for excellence in admissions work and committed to attracting diverse, high-calibre students from Hong Kong and beyond. The appointee will be engaged in international outreach and student recruitment, with a focus on prospective students possessing international qualifications from the Chinese Mainland and overseas. He/She will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating with internal and external parties for organising and participating in admissions events (b) supporting outreach and recruitment activities (c) processing applications (d) preparing promotional materials, such as event posters, admissions brochures, and digital/social media content (covering international and Chinese Mainland social media platforms) (e) providing administrative and logistical support (f) answering enquiries from prospective students and (g) performing other tasks as assigned. Occasional travel to the Chinese Mainland and overseas, as well as irregular working hours, may be required.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree (ii) with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience, preferably at a tertiary institution (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) (iv) strong organisational, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills (v) good computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other Windows applications (vi) patience in dealing with people and great attention to details. (vii) the ability to work independently and reliably, and work collaboratively as part of a team and (viii) a self-motivated attitude and a strong sense of responsibility. Having experience in student recruitment in the Chinese Mainland and event organisation, as well as proficiency in webpage management and graphic design, will be advantageous.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
