Laboratory Animal Services Centre
Project Co-ordinator II

The Laboratory Animal Services Centre (LASEC) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the dynamic team. The appointee will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating and implementing the administrative process of animal import/export requests (b) liaising with internal and external parties for animal import/export process, and ensuring timely and accurate shipment by confirming all required documentation is prepared in compliance with related guidelines and regulations (c) identifying and solving shipping issues/errors (d) maintaining good and accurate records of all animal import/export requests (e) acting as the point of contact and communicating import/export progress to all related parties (f) overseeing and co-ordinating internal and external orders receipt, dispatch, and record keeping (g) providing logistical support to events and activities (h) assisting with correspondence files and records, external animal sales records, internal drug orders record, associated faculty returns, and debit and receipt accounts details and (i) performing other ad hoc duties and tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science or related disciplines (ii) at least 2 years relevant work experience, preferably at tertiary institutions (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (iv) strong interpersonal, communication, time management and organisational skills (v) strong attentiveness to details (vi) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation and (vii) the ability to manage multi-tasks independently and under pressure.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
