Project Co-ordinator II(s)
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, working with more than 150 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, is committed to advancing patient services, research, training and education to the highest possible standard in all major areas of ophthalmology and visual sciences. The Department has a strong track record and profile in international ophthalmology, and is dedicated to worthwhile community programmes and public education projects. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) preparing documents and handling administrative tasks for the Research Office (b) providing daily office operational support and (c) performing other tasks as assigned. In-house training will be provided where appropriate. Prior experience in clinical research is not required.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (iii) integrity, sincerity and team spirit (iv) proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other Windows applications and (v) a strong sense of responsibility, a mature personality, and a self-motivated, hardworking, well-organised and independent work attitude. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
