Project Co-ordinator II, Office of EMBA (Chinese) Programme

The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. The EMBA (Chinese) Programme is one of the degree-bearing executive education programmes offered by the School. Students of the EMBA (Chinese) Programme are mainly senior executives who normally travel to Hong Kong for classes from the Greater China region. To support the operational and financial management of the programme, the School is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Co-ordinator II with a strong background in finance and administration.

Reporting to the Functional Manager and/or his / her designates, the appointee will be responsible for a broad range of financial and administrative functions, including budget management, financial reporting, procurement, and office operations. The role also involves supporting academic and co-curricular activities from a financial and logistical perspective. Duties include:

1. Financial Management & Budget Control
(a) assisting in the preparation, monitoring, and management of the programme's annual budget (b) processing payments, reimbursements, and procurement requests in compliance with the University policies and (c) maintaining accurate financial records and preparing regular financial reports for review.

2. Administrative & Operational Support
(a) overseeing day-to-day office operations, including supplies management, vendor coordination, and facility-related matters (b) providing logistical and administrative support for programme activities, including orientation, seminars, and study trips (c) serving as secretary to programme-related committees, preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation and (d) preparing annual reports and statistical analysis.

3. Academic & Co-Curricular Support
(a) facilitating the administration of academic processes, including course scheduling, faculty support, and student-related logistics (b) assisting in the planning and execution of co-curricular activities and (c) ensuring alignment with budgetary and operational guidelines.

4. Stakeholder Relations & Alumni Engagement
(a) developing strong relationships with academic staff, business partners in Chinese Mainland, and liaising with other internal and external stakeholders and (b) maintaining and leveraging the extensive alumni network through administrative and event-based initiatives.

Working at flexible hours and business travel outside Hong Kong will be required.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (ii) a minimum of 1 year's relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or administration, preferably in education, executive training, or high-end services (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (iv) proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications, with strong numerical aptitude (v) high level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information (vi) outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills and (vii) good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Having experience in business school/executive programmes setting is highly advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
