Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Programme Officer)The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing support to various academic matters for postgraduate students, including admissions, student records, assessment, and documentation (b) compiling statistics (c) co-ordinating activities and events (d) providing support for IT systems and (e) performing other new initiatives and ad hoc duties as assigned.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (iii) strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills (iv) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation (v) a collaborative work style, and the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines and (vi) good analytical ability and strong computer skills. Having at least 2 years administrative work experience is preferred. Prior experience in programme administration will be an advantage. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
