Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Marketing and Engagement Executive)
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is rebranding its visitor centre as a strategic initiative to strengthen community engagement and showcase the University's culture, achievements, and values. Communications and Public Relations Office is seeking a dedicated and proactive professional to support the development and operation of the visitor centre. The appointee will assist in project implementation, operational planning, stakeholder engagement and marketing, partnership, and campaign execution.
The appointee will be responsible for:
Project Implementation: (a) concept development, procurement, renovation, commissioning, and marketing & operational preparation (b) assisting in monitoring project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, contract administration, and project documentation and (c) co-ordinating stakeholder engagement activities, including consultations, site visits, user requirement collection, and project review meetings.
Stakeholder Engagement & Marketing: (a) managing and optimising the visitor centre's omnichannel strategy across physical retail, e-commerce, social commerce, and campus channels (b) ensureing visitor centre's brand consistency across all digital and physical platforms (c) developing and executing marketing and communications plans to support the visitor centre's business and engagement objectives and (d) building awareness and increasing visitation among students, staff, alumni, visitors, prospective students, and general public.
Campaigns & Engagement: (a) developing and executing campaigns supporting merchandise launches, seasonal promotions, and engagement activities (b) supporting content creation for souvenir promotion, community management, and campaign execution for the visitor centre activities, including exhibitions, workshops, talks, and major events and (c) promoting merchandise and gifting solutions to faculties, departments, colleges, and University offices.
Customer Insights & Market Research: (a) analysing customer feedback, purchasing behaviour, and sales performance data (b) conducting market research, benchmarking, and trend analysis and (c) identyfing emerging lifestyle, gifting, retail, and engagement trends.
Partnerships: (a) developing relationships with influencers, content creators, and strategic partners (b) supporting publicity, collaborations, and promotional opportunities to enhance visibility and engagement of the visitor central and (c) performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, e-Commerce, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related discipline (ii) at least 5 to 8 years proven experience in marketing, brand management, stakeholder engagement, or digital commerce, preferably within a retail, lifestyle or cultural setting (iii) demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing plans that drive both revenue and audience growth across diverse target groups (iv) hands-on experience in driving promotional strategies across e-commerce platforms, social commerce, and brick-and-mortar retail environments (v) proven track record of executing social media strategies, overseeing content creation, and managing active digital communities (vi) solid analytical skills with a history of interpreting customer feedback, sales performance, and market trends to optimise products, campaigns, and overall customer experience (vii) experience building and maintaining strategic relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including influencers, external partners, and internal organisational departments (viii) strong organisational and project co-ordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously (ix) good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to pitch collaborative initiatives and promotional solutions to internal and external partners (x) highly adaptable and commercial-minded, with a strong pulse on emerging lifestyle, gifting, and retail trends (xi) a collaborative, service-oriented, and detail-minded approach, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and (xii) the ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test in both English and Chinese.
