Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Assistant College Development Officer)
United College is one of the founding colleges of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and has over 3,900 undergraduate students. The College places strong emphasis on whole-person education and enhancing their sense of social responsibility with a wide range of activities.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating the College's scholarships and financial aids applications, promotions and interviews (b) assisting in large-scale repair and maintenance works of the College's student hostels (c) co-ordinating and assisting in the College's major activities and events (d) providing secretarial support to the College committee and (e) performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) at least 3 years post-qualification work experience (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (iv) strong communication and teamwork skills (v) the ability to work independently under tight time constraints and (vi) solid IT proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Having experience in the tertiary education sector will be an advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
