Project Co-ordinator II [carrying the job title of Officer (Finance)]The appointee will work in the Finance & Development team under the Faculty and Planning Office, Faculty of Medicine. Duties include (a) processing documents related to accounting, tender, procurement, travel expenses, etc., and ensuring compliance with the University guidelines (b) assisting with budgeting and performing financial management for special projects (c) collaborating with internal and external parties to provide procurement and administrative support, and handling their enquiries (d) reconciling and compiling financial data and preparing reports for management review (e) handling routine administrative tasks and maintaining the team%27s filing system and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Overtime work and working beyond normal office hours may be required.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) at least 2 years post-qualification work experience (iii) a high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, preferably with advanced knowledge of Excel (iv) proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (v) attentiveness to detail and accuracy, and a strong sense of responsibility (vi) good team spirit and problem-solving skills and (vii) excellent communication skills, a self-motivated work attitude, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.The University only accepts and considers applications submitted online for the post above via the CUHK career site. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
