Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Project Officer)
The appointee will provide a wide variety of administrative support to the Sports Medicine Team and will work in the general office at Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. Duties include (a) organising sports and community events, include co-ordinating with vendors, overseeing event staff, managing budget, planning logistics, and arranging all details that help an event succeed (b) providing administrative support to postgraduate programmes and certificate courses (c) co-ordinating academic conferences and seminars and (d) performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s). Working beyond normal office hours or at weekends will be required occasionally.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) at least 4 years post-qualification work experience in event/project management (iii) a positive work attitude, good interpersonal and communication skills (iv) excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently (v) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (include Putonghua) and (vi) a good level of computer literacy, e.g. MS Office, Windows, Chinese word-processing, etc. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
