Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Creative Officer)
We are seeking a versatile graphic designer for the role of Creative Officer to create engaging multi-format solutions that effectively communicate with diverse audiences and create impactful experiences. He/She will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across physical and digital mediums.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) designing and producing core university collateral, including publication layouts, event dcor, social media graphics (static and animated), web designs, e-newsletters, and illustrated assets (b) executing photo editing, retouching, color correction and compositing to maintain the highest quality visual standards across all platforms (c) supporting the alignment of visual brand consistency and evolving style guidelines (d) liaising with stakeholders and production vendors to translate strategic vision into innovative design products and (e) undertaking any assigned special projects.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor%27s degree in Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (ii) at least 2 years of relevant professional experience (iii) excellent digital illustration and graphic design skills, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in layout and typography (iv) solid understanding of print production and digital asset preparation (v) proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (vi) outstanding organisational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills (v) high level of motivation and meticulous attention to detail (vii) fluency in English and Chinese and (viii) expert proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud's design, photo and motion graphics software. Having experience with Figma, Notion, and AI tools or ability to learn quickly will be advantageous.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
