Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Alumni Experience Manager)
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Project Co-ordinator to lead our alumni engagement efforts and cultivate a thriving global community of graduates. This pivotal role will focus on building meaningful relationships with alumni, supporting their professional growth, and fostering lifelong connections through impactful events, digital initiatives, and targeted outreach. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and a passion for community-building to elevate our alumni network and strengthen its ties to the institution.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) developing and implementing strategic alumni engagement initiatives to foster lasting relationships, including career support, mentorship programmes, and professional development opportunities (b) planning and executing alumni events, such as reunions, networking sessions, and guest speaker series to encourage active participation (c) managing alumni communications and social media channels, with a focus on creating engaging content that highlights achievements, promotes interaction, and shares event updates (d) maintaining and analysing alumni data to enhance database management, ensuring accurate tracking and personalised engagement while adhering to data privacy standards and (e) collaborating with internal departments and industry partners to design and deliver impactful alumni programs that support meaningful engagement and professional growth.
Applicants should be/have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) strong proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (iii) excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively build and maintain relationships (iv) strong organisational and project management abilities and (v) confidence in public speaking and the ability to engage diverse audiences at public-facing events. Proficiency in using social media platforms and strategies to drive engagement is highly desirable. At least 3 years experience in alumni relations, event planning, or community engagement is preferred. Candidates who demonstrate strong potential and a proactive attitude toward learning are welcome.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory.
