Project Assistant II
The appointee will be responsible for (a) delivering administrative and operational support to academic programmes and events (e.g. providing on-site support for classes) (b) handling payments, purchases, and inventory management (c) providing frontline services and daily office operational support and (d) performing other tasks as assigned. Working during non-office hours, including weekends, may be required.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English) Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) fast and accurate English and Chinese word-processing skill (iv) at least 1 year's work experience, preferably at tertiary institutions (v) proficiency in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) (vi) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) (vii) good organisational and interpersonal skills and (viii) the ability to work independently and as a team member. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a computer test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
