Project Assistant II (carrying the job title of Executive)The Faculty of Medicine (CU Medicine) is dedicated to making a global impact by improving human health through advancements in healthcare, medical education and research. The team provides strategic support for the Faculty's core missions, advancing excellence in research, education, donor relations , and community engagement. Its comprehensive services encompass event management, alumni affairs, institutional partnerships and visitation arrangements.The appointee will be responsible for rendering administrative and clerical support for the Faculty's alumni affairs as well as the team's mandates. Duties include (a) providing clerical and logistical support to alumni affairs events and other initiatives (b) maintaining databases, websites, and webforms (c) handling procurement, payment procedures, and related documentation (d) assisting in communications, social media and publication development (e) handling daily administration and operations and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Irregular working hours (including evenings, weekends and public holidays) will be required occasionally.Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) fast and accurate typing skills (iv) 1 year's work experience in administrative or event support (v) proficiency in computer applications (including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and knowledge of database development and maintenance (vi) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese) (vii) an agile, meticulous mindset and strong attentiveness to detail, especially with data and figures (viii) the ability to work independently and as a team member to handle multi-tasks under tight schedules and (ix) a positive and self-motivated work attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.Applicants must submit copies of HKCEE/HKDSE certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and/or academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.The University only accepts and considers applications submitted online for the post above via the CUHK career site.
