Project Assistant II (carrying the job title of Assistant Programme Officer)The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in admissions and registration (b) processing student data (c) assisting in programme administration and (d) handling various administrative duties related to postgraduate studies.Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) fast and accurate typing skill (iv) at least 2 years administrative experience, preferably at tertiary institutions (v) good analytical ability with strong computer skills (vi) a detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of responsibility (vii) good communication and interpersonal skills (viii) the ability to work under pressure and tight timelines and (ix) fluency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.Applicants must submit copies of HKCEE/HKDSE certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and/or academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
