Production Supervisor
The Role
- Responsible for the overall management and coordination of factory production operations, leading a production team of approximately 100 employees across Production & Manufacturing, Production Engineering, and Assembly. Ensure stable and reliable day-to-day product delivery performance.
- Continuously drive improvements to the production system, optimize workforce efficiency, quality, and manufacturing costs, and establish a stable, efficient, and sustainable production operation.
Production Operations Management
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of production plans across the entire assembly and manufacturing processes. Allocate manpower and equipment resources effectively to ensure on-time order delivery.
- Supervise the implementation of standardized operating procedures (SOPs) on the shop floor. Manage work-in-process (WIP) flow, production takt time, and capacity loading, while continuously improving production efficiency and line balancing.
- Oversee 5S and visual management across the production floor and maintain a well-organized and disciplined manufacturing environment.
Team Management and Talent Development
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the production team, Production Engineers (PE / Process Support & Continuous Improvement), Team Leaders, and frontline operators.
- Establish differentiated management practices to effectively manage a mixed workforce of local employees and foreign migrant workers, including manpower scheduling, skills training, and performance evaluation.
Production Engineering and Continuous Improvement
- Lead the Production Engineering team to ensure stable equipment and process operation, rapidly resolve production line abnormalities, and reduce downtime caused by material shortages and process defects.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, yield improvement, work simplification, evaluation of automation opportunities, and waste elimination.
- Drive the implementation of standardized processes, organize defect analysis and follow-up on corrective and improvement actions, and reduce the cost of production defects.
- Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to manage new product introduction (NPI) trial production activities and optimize the transition from trial production to mass production.
Quality, Cost, and Safety Management
- Implement process quality controls and promote root-cause improvements to reduce process defects, rework, and repair costs.
- Control production losses, auxiliary material consumption, and labor costs, and develop cost-reduction and improvement initiatives.
- Implement production safety management systems, identify workplace safety risks, and prevent industrial accidents.
Transformation and Change Management
- Proactively take ownership of the company's transformation and change objectives, challenge existing production practices, and drive improvements to production processes and management mechanisms.
- Respond rapidly to uncertainties during the transformation period by adjusting production strategies and addressing shop-floor challenges arising from capacity fluctuations and product iterations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate communication and collaboration within the department and across other departments, resolve work-related conflicts and issues, and improve overall organizational collaboration and efficiency.
