Job Description

Location: Remote, APAC region Employment Type: Contractor (20 hours/week) Department: Marketing Reports To: Creative Lead, Global Creative Team (US Headquarters) Day-to-Day Partner: Regional Marketer, APAC

About the Role

Twist Bioscience is looking for an experienced, detail-obsessed Production Designer to support marketing campaigns across the APAC region. This is a part-time, fully remote role for someone who thrives on turning creative concepts into polished, on-brand, channel-ready assets; quickly and accurately, across a wide range of formats.

You'll be the person who takes a campaign concept from our creative and marketing teams and executes it flawlessly across every touchpoint: email, digital ads, social, web banners, event collateral, sales decks, print materials, and more. This role is ideal for a senior production designer who wants meaningful, flexible part-time work and can operate independently with minimal oversight.

This role sits at the intersection of global and regional marketing. Brand standards, creative direction, and overall performance management come from Twist Bioscience's Global Creative Team at our US headquarters, while your day-to-day project intake, priorities, and market context come from your regional marketing partner in APAC. You'll need to be comfortable operating across this matrixed structure; staying true to global brand guidelines while being responsive to regional needs and time zones.

What You'll Do

  • Produce and adapt marketing assets across a full multichannel campaign, including digital and paid social ads, email templates, web banners, landing page graphics, trade show and event collateral, print materials, and sales/webinar presentation decks.
  • Resize, reformat, and localize creative assets to meet the specifications of different platforms and channels (e.g., LinkedIn, WeChat, etc., programmatic ad networks, email service providers) while maintaining brand and design integrity.
  • Build and maintain templates in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint/Google Slides and build an APAC-specific repository.
  • Partner day-to-day with your regional APAC marketer to intake project requests, understand priorities, and translate campaign briefs into accurate, production-ready files.
  • Follow brand guidelines, templates, and creative direction set by the Global Creative Team at US headquarters, flagging any regional adaptation needs back to that team.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines, prioritizing effectively across campaign workstreams.
  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to Twist Bioscience's brand standards, style guides, and regulatory/compliance requirements relevant to the life sciences industry.
  • Prepare and package final files for handoff to media buyers, web developers, print vendors, and regional marketing teams.
  • Proofread and quality-check all assets for accuracy, consistency, and technical correctness (color profiles, bleed, resolution, file specs) prior to launch.
  • Provide light creative input and troubleshoot execution challenges independently, escalating only when a request falls outside brand or scope guardrails.
  • Collaborate with APAC regional marketing stakeholders to understand local market nuances and adapt global campaign assets accordingly.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in production design, ideally supporting marketing or advertising campaigns in an in-house, agency, or hybrid environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • and Figma.
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and/or Google Slides for building polished, on-brand presentation templates.
  • A proven track record producing assets for true multichannel campaigns; digital, social, email, print, and event/experiential.
  • Sharp eye for typography, layout, color, and brand consistency, paired with meticulous attention to production detail (specs, file formats, color modes, resolution).
  • Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects and
  • stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional APAC regional language skills are a plus.
  • Experience working with distributed, cross-time-zone teams (US-based marketing/creative counterparts).
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in life sciences, biotech, or another technical/scientific industry.
  • Basic motion graphics or video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere) for light social/digital animation.
  • Familiarity with marketing/creative operations tools (e.g., Airtable, Workfront, Slack, AEM, DAM systems).
  • Experience adapting global brand campaigns for APAC-specific markets and channels.

Logistics

  • Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate overlap with US-based marketing team hours as needed.
  • Location: Fully remote; open to candidates based anywhere in the APAC region.
  • Engagement type: independent contractor
