Job Description
UltraSense Systems is looking for a Product Planning and Procurement specialist. Main responsibilities include NPI and Production planning, Supplier coordination, and Procurement management.
Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and optimize production plans and master schedules across wafer fabrication and OSAT (assembly & test) partners.
- Release work orders and closely track WIP status, cycle time, output vs. plan, and capacity utilization.
- Generate short- and mid-term build forecasts, ensuring alignment with customer demand, internal commitments, and capacity constraints.
- Proactively analyze supplydemand gaps, identify risks, and drive mitigation actions to prevent material shortages, output shortfall, or shipment delays.
2. Supplier / OSAT Coordination
- Own purchase order (PO) creation, release, and invoice coordination in accordance with procurement and finance processes.
- Act as the primary planning interface with OSAT and key suppliers, following up on order execution, capacity allocation, cycle time performance, and delivery commitments.
- Lead regular operations reviews with suppliers to address bottlenecks, yield or cycle-time excursions, and execution risks.
3. Material Readiness, Logistics & Shipment
- Ensure material readiness (wafer, substrate, leadframe, and other critical materials) to support approved production schedules.
- Track ETD / ETA for materials and finished goods; work cross-functionally with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to resolve delays or shortages.
- Coordinate sample and customer shipments, including shipment arrangement, labeling, and packaging in compliance with customer and quality requirements.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Program Management, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Sales to align build plans, customer priorities, and execution feasibility.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), ramp-up, and change management from a planning and material readiness perspective.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain, or operations management within semiconductor, IC design, or electronics manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience managing fab and OSAT interfaces, including capacity planning, WIP control, and cycle time management.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, including PO issuance, supplier follow-up, and invoice coordination.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify risks, and drive execution-oriented solutions.
- Proficiency in English:
- Able to conduct meetings and discussions with overseas suppliers and partners.
- Able to write clear and professional emails, reports, and presentations in English.
- Detail-oriented, accountable, and able to work under tight schedules and dynamic priorities.
Preferred
- Experience supporting automotive customers and familiarity with IATF 16949 / AEC-Q100-related operational requirements.
- Experience with ERP / planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Prior exposure to NPI, ramp management, or multi-site supply chain coordination.
