【Purpose of this Position】
The position is expected to manage the assigned Railway Computing product line in order to achieve the short and longer-term revenue and profitability goals. The candidate will act as a strategic bridge between technology and the market, ensuring products remain competitive in harsh railway environments and driving global business growth.
【Major Areas of Responsibility】
1.1 Collaborate for Product Line Strategy : Work w/ leader to define the strategic roadmap for railway computing platforms, focusing on Rolling Stock and Trackside applications.
1.2 Execute Product Line Strategy: Implement strategies to capitalize on global rail trends such as the T2G communication, Edge AI, and digitalization/modernization (Refurbishment)
2.1 Initiate and Execute Development: Lead product development proposals that comply with railway-specific standards such as EN 50155, EN 50121, EN 45545-2, and IEC 61375.
2.2 Schedule and Feature Control: Manage the development lifecycle, ensuring features meet high-reliability, wide-temperature, and anti-vibration requirements.
2.3 Cross-divisional Coordination: Orchestrate resources across R&D, Supply Chain, and QA to achieve development milestones.
2.4 Technical Documentation: Ensure high-quality technical collateral, including user manuals and quick installation guides (QIG).
2.5 Customization Management: Oversee product customization projects to meet specific tender requirements from major train builder, rail integrators and operators.
3.1 Strategy Execution: Propose and execute positioning, pricing, and promotion strategies based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) value.
3.2 Global Communication: Drive international marketing activities and represent the product line at global events (e.g., InnoTrans).
3.3 Marketing Campaigns: Launch targeted campaigns for target vertical market segments such as CBTC (Train Control), TCMS, and Train-to-Ground.
3.4 Material Creation: Develop professional marketing materials, including white papers, datasheets, application notes and demo kits.
3.5 Partnership : Partner work with regional Sales & KAM to develop strategies for top-tier rail customers to achieve business goals.
4.1 Customer Satisfaction: Coordinate with Manufacturing, QA, and Customer Service to ensure global service excellence and product quality.
4.2 Lifecycle Management: Execute product phase-in and phase-out activities, with a focus on managing the long-term supply requirements typical of the railway industry.
4.3 Value Improvement: Lead initiatives for quality enhancement, value-added feature sets, and cost-reduction activities.
