Responsibilities

1. Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals and business objectives
2. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather and define requirements, scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria, acting as the central point of contact and translating technical concepts into business-friendly language for participants and leadership
3. Own the full product lifecycle: prioritise the backlog, break complex requirements into actionable engineering tasks, estimate timelines with engineering, and establish detailed project plans
4. Monitor progress, identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues promptly
5. Conduct user testing and dogfooding cycles, gather and triage feedback, file actionable tickets, verify fixes, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders
6. Drive product adoption and engagement by analysing usage patterns and key metrics, identifying drop-off points, and implementing strategies to improve retention and performance
7. Engage proactively with product owners, business units, and branch teams to understand on-the-ground needs, conduct training sessions, and gather feedback for improvements
8. Create and maintain comprehensive product and project documentation, and coordinate technical reviews, sign-offs, and testing to ensure quality standards before and after deployment
9. Plan and write release notes and newsletters, stay current with industry trends through market and competitor research, and use project management tools to track work hours, execution, and expenditures
10. Facilitate technical knowledge sharing, provide prompt user support, and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and executing legal paperwork
11. Use AI tools effectively across the product lifecycle to work faster and smarter, and champion adoption within the team, as AI is embedded throughout how we work

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, IT, or a relevant field
2. Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar role within fintech, financial services, or technology-driven companies
3. Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product lifecycle and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital products
4. Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies
5. Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, product management principles, and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
6. Proficient in analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Statsig, PostHog) and A/B testing tools
7. Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
8. Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and internal, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
9. Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills, with the ability to analyse projects and provide strategic planning input
10. Strong teamwork skills and proven ability to work well under pressure
11. Knowledge of fintech products or prior experience in the financial services sector is an added advantage
12. Certification in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus
13. Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively to boost productivity, quality, and decision-making. AI is used throughout our work, and we expect this person to embrace and apply it in their day-to-day role
