Product Manager (Fiber Optic Cabling Solutions)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager to oversee our fiber optic cabling product line. You will be responsible for end-to-end product lifecycle management, supplier coordination, and global marketing activities. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and the ability to drive business growth through international exhibitions and client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Lifecycle Management
New Product Development (NPD): Lead the development process for fiber optic products (e.g., Patch Cords, MPO/MTP solutions, Enclosures), defining Product Requirements Documents (PRD) and monitoring development milestones.
Roadmap Planning: Develop short, medium, and long-term product roadmaps based on market trends and customer requirements.
Product Maintenance: Manage existing product lines, including Engineering Change Notices (ECN), part number management, and End-of-Life (EOL) planning.
Compliance & Certification: Ensure products comply with international cabling standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC) and relevant safety certifications.
2. Supplier & Supply Chain Management
Supplier Sourcing & Management: Evaluate and select suitable OEM/ODM suppliers; conduct regular factory audits and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Cost & Lead Time Control: Analyze product cost structures (BOM), negotiate pricing to optimize profit margins, and coordinate supplier capacity and lead times.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality teams to resolve supplier quality issues and track the effectiveness of corrective actions (e.g., 8D Reports).
3. Product Marketing & Global Support
Exhibitions & Events: Plan and participate in domestic and international trade shows (e.g., Computex, OFC, Data Center World), managing booth layout, sample preparation, and on-site technical promotion.
Client Visits & Presentations: Accompany sales teams on key client visits (domestic and global) to deliver technical presentations, conduct product demos, and gather Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to refine product strategy.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Formulate competitive pricing strategies and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) plans for new product launches.
Sales Enablement: Create marketing collaterals, including datasheets, sales kits, white papers, and competitive analysis reports (Battle Cards).
Training & Support: Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing product training to internal teams and supporting complex technical inquiries from customers.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Product Management or Project Management within the networking, structured cabling, or connector industries.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of fiber optic principles, structured cabling systems, or data center architectures.
Language Skills: Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) is mandatory for reviewing international standards, attending global exhibitions, and communicating with overseas clients/suppliers.
Skills: Strong cross-functional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Data Center construction projects or FTTx solutions.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
