Our client is a world-leading digital payments organization. As digital payments continue to evolve, they are expanding their Hong Kong team and seeking a high-calibre Product Manager to drive credit card innovation and portfolio growth across Hong Kong & Macau.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of credit card products, from concept design to market launch and ongoing optimization. You will work closely with leading banks and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative card propositions and drive measurable portfolio growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Value Proposition
Develop differentiated credit card value propositions (CVPs) tailored to key customer segments (mass, affluent, millennials)
Conduct customer, competitor, and market analysis to define product positioning
Design product features including:
Rewards and benefits
Pricing strategies
Strategic partnerships
Continuously refine propositions based on portfolio performance and market trends
2. Product Launch & Delivery
Lead end-to-end card product launches, from ideation through to market rollout
Manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functional teams
Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, and Marketing teams to ensure timely delivery
Oversee key launch components including:
Product setup and configuration
Compliance and approval processes
Go-to-market readiness
3. Technical & Implementation Coordination
Act as the bridge between business and technology teams
Support product setup and digital integration (e.g., mobile wallets, app journeys)
Translate business requirements into clear implementation specifications
Enable campaign execution through proper targeting, tracking, and reporting
4. Campaigns & Portfolio Growth
Design and execute campaigns to drive:
Customer acquisition
Activation and engagement
Spend and usage
Retention
Collaborate with clients and marketing teams to optimize campaigns
Measure and enhance campaign performance through data insights
5. Portfolio Management & Optimization
Monitor key portfolio metrics:
Cards in force
Activation rates
Spend levels
Attrition
Identify growth opportunities and improve customer lifetime value
Develop data-driven strategies to optimize lifecycle performance
6. Stakeholder & Client Engagement
Partner closely with issuing banks to support product and growth initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams across product, marketing, and analytics
Provide thought leadership in client discussions on product strategy and roadmap
Requirements
5-8 years of experience in banking, payments, or financial services
Proven experience in:
Credit card product management or product development
New product launches or major product revamps
Campaigns and portfolio growth initiatives
Act as the bridge between business and technology teams
Strong understanding of:
Cardholder lifecycle management
Credit card economics and key P&L drivers
Demonstrated project management and delivery experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication ability
