JOB DESCRIPTION:
Department: Process Engineering
Reports to: Manager
Functional relationships:
- Li-ion battery product design in Japan
- Li-ion battery process engineering in Japan
POSITION PROFILE:
This position is to propel any activities related to new process development for Li-ion batteries with highly specialized process & product knowledge.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Policy, strategy alignment, and coordination of PJT by collaborating with Japan HQ or other group companies in Japan.
- To initiate a periodical meeting with Japan HQ or other group companies to solve problems within its own Division.
- Accumulate design/process know-how with a view to contributing to the entire battery business of MURATA Global.
- Lead to process and quality improvement reflecting customer feedback.
- Process change for productivity and quality improvement
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement data-driven solutions.
- Training and education for local engineers
- Window person to facilitate effective communication/knowledge transfer
- Technical expertise in liquid cell process
- Troubleshooting problems associated with cell process
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to cross languages and cultures within the team.
Ability/Competency required:
- To hold bachelor's degree or master's degree in engineering or science field.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experiences in electronic manufacturing industry.
- To have deep & specialized technical knowledge in Li-ion batteries and to be able to fully utilize it in the actual job for improvement.
- To have logical thinking, analytical skill, and good engineering sense.
- To have a strong mindset for change and improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills, project management skills, and troubleshooting skills.
- To have networking ability with Li-ion battery-related functions
- To have business fluent Japanese and English language skills to liaise with Japan factories & R&D departments, and local staff in MES factory.
