Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain MRO processes for aircraft landing gear products.
- Ensure processes comply with applicable airworthiness, OEM and customer requirements.
- Lead process improvement, Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Analyse process performance, production data and quality trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Identify process bottlenecks, operational risks and opportunities for increased efficiency.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production and MRO teams to resolve process-related issues.
- Provide technical guidance on repair, overhaul and related MRO processes.
- Support investigations into non-conformities, quality issues and process failures.
- Review and maintain process documentation, work instructions and technical documentation.
- Support the introduction and implementation of new repair and MRO processes.
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, cost and turnaround time.
- Monitor process KPIs and operational performance.
- Coach and develop process and engineering personnel.
- Liaise with customers and OEM representatives where required.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering/process experience.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing, aircraft MRO or component repair/overhaul is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of aircraft component repair and overhaul processes.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
