Process Engineer
(Semiconductor Process Engineering in Etch/Litho)
Responsibilities
- Develops New or Modified Process Formulations,Defines processing or Handling Equipment requirements and Specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products.
- Understands and exploits the Physics and Mechanisms of the processes running on the equipment to achieve process goals.
- Designs and Execute Process optimization experiments; Characterizes, Compiles, and Analyzes test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for equipment, process, or material specifications.
- Hands on work in the Lab on the Equipment and subsequent Data analysis.
- Responsible for quality execution of all experiments and material processed through the tool, including internal process development activities and customer demonstrations.
- Collaborate with customer engineers and managers as a technical interface, managing input for customer demo and integration experiments.
- Present findings from experiments and data analysis to internal and external customers
- Participate in various integration and strategic activities relevant to this product and customer with internal business units
- Assist in troubleshooting field issues regarding tool performance
- Work in partnership with engineering teams, product team, sales and marketing groups, and other functional areas, to prepare changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate customer adoption and improve quality of process equipment.
- Co-work with TEL - US & Taiwan teams, and HCLTech - Taiwan & India teams.
Qualifications
A.) Min. Qualifications:
- B.S. in related field w/ 5+ yrs Semiconductor PE exp., or M.S. preferred w/ 3+ yrs Semiconductor PE exp.
B.) Preferred Qualifications:
- Specific exp. w/ Semiconductor equipment or similar fully automated capital equipment.
- Semiconductor Process Engineering (PE) exp. in Etch or Ion implantation technology (Litho) is a MUST
- Exp. w/ Gas-cluster beam (GCIB) and Coding exp. is a Plus.
- Proven exp. in the Application of Lean principles and formal Problem-solving techniques
- Ability to speak English & Mandarin is a plus. Proficiency in English Speaking & Listening. TOEIC: >600 or equivalent certificate
- Excellent communication skills English, both written & verbal.
- Strong organizational and management skills and an Analytical thinker
C.) Physical Demands & Work Conditions

- This job operates in an office setting.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
- This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to Lift files, Open filing cabinets and Bend or Stand as necessary.
- This position requires the ability to occasionally Lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds (<= 16 kg).
- This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
- Bilingual capability is required (Mandarin & English). Mandarin speaking/reading is an essential skill in HCLTech Taiwan.
- Taiwan APRC is required w/ expat.
