Job Description

Job Summary

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining processes within the MRO shop to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective repair and overhaul of aerospace components and systems. This role involves analyzing workflows, improving repair processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve turnaround time (TAT) and reduce costs
  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues in repair & overhaul processes
  • Ensure all repair and overhaul processes meet industry standards (e.g., FAA, EASA regulations) and customer requirements
  • Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
  • Collect and analyze repair and overhaul data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Utilize GE Aerospace's Flightdeck operating system to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on repair and overhaul objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Proven working experience in engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO)
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong working knowledge of AD/SB compliance, engine assembly and disassembly, and cleaning/inspection processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical charts, and related documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., CMRO, SAP, AMOS) for managing maintenance and inventory
  • Familiarity with Flightdeck or other lean operating systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with customers
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience in customer-facing roles to address technical concerns and ensure satisfaction
