Principle Facilities Engineer

Brief Summary

Join our team as a Principal Facilities Engineer, where you will oversee essential plant operations and ensure compliance with international standards. This role is key in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all plant facilities equipment, ensuring alignment with relevant standards. Oversee and optimize the operation of key systems, including electrical, air-conditioning, waste-water treatment, and fire protection. Supervise the work of engineers, technicians, and contractors responsible for maintenance, cleaning, and security services. Monitor contractor performance and compliance, managing all aspects of their engagements for maintenance and special projects. Lead and support renovations, equipment installations, and facility refurbishments, collaborating with internal teams. Ensure timely renewal of necessary licenses and permits for facility operations. Maintain meticulous records for all facility-related documentation. Identify and mitigate risks related to facilities management tasks, implementing effective control measures. Facilitate EHS and facilities training, coordinating with the operations team to schedule and run sessions. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that all project specifications adhere to industry standards and regulations. Provide full support to Environmental, Health, and Safety functions, managing documentation and compliance auditing.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field. Fire Safety Manager certification from SCDF. Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance management. Demonstrated ability in project execution, budgeting, and vendor management. In-depth knowledge of air-conditioning, fire safety, security, and Building Management Systems. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with a proven ability to motivate teams. Excellent written and verbal negotiation skills. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications. Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage complex information while setting and communicating clear performance expectations. Strong commitment to workplace safety and health practices.
