Job Description

At AUMOVIO AESS, we are building the next generation of automotive semiconductor solutions that enable safer, smarter, and more connected mobility.

We are looking for a highly motivated Principal / Senior Test Engineering to join our growing Technical Operations Management (TOM) organization. The role will drive test engineering excellence from new product introduction (NPI) through high-volume manufacturing, which plays a critical role in ensuring products achieve automotive-grade quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost target.

Candidate with hands-on ATE test development experience (Advantest V93K), automotive semiconductor test engineering and manufacturing ramp experience from NPI to high-volume production is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • IC Test Development & Manufacturing Release
    • Lead transfer of wafer sort (CP), burn-in, and final test (FT) solutions from R&D into manufacturing.
    • Debug, qualify, release and sustain ATE test programs for volume production.
    • Support silicon bring-up, characterization, correlation, and production validation.
    • Drive test coverage optimization, multi-site efficiency, test time reduction, and manufacturing readiness.
    • Qualify and maintain test hardware including probe cards, load boards, burn-in boards, and sockets.
  • Manufacturing & OSAT Management
    • Serve as the technical focal point for OSAT test and burn-in operations.
    • Support qualification builds, product ramp-up, manufacturing transfers and sustaining activities.
    • Collaborate with OSATs and suppliers to resolve testing related technical and production issues.
    • Drive manufacturing yield, quality, productivity and operational excellence.
  • Product Engineering Partnership
    • Work closely with Product Engineering on characterization, qualification, yield improvement, and production release.
    • Define test limits, screening strategies and production release criteria.
    • Support NPI, reliability qualification, and product change management activities.
    • Drive data-driven decisions to improve product quality and manufacturability.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years (Senior Engineer) or 8+ years (Principal Engineer) of semiconductor industry experience in Test Engineering or Product Engineering.
  • Experience in product testing solutions development (ATE SW and HW, Burn-In) and release for high-volume production with OSAT is highly preferred.
  • Experience in managing product test operation with OSAT.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on team player with a strong ownership mindset, capable of delivering results in a dynamic and rapidly growing startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across global and multicultural teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combining data-driven decision-making with sound engineering judgment.

Preferred Technical Experience

  • Hands-on experience in ATE test development, debug, characterization, qualification, and production release for Wafer Sort, Burn-In, and Final Test.
  • Strong knowledge of Advantest V93000 (V93K) SmarTest platform and test program development.
  • Experience in test hardware development, including Probe Cards, Load Boards, and Burn-In Boards.
  • Expertise in silicon characterization, correlation, shmoo analysis, yield improvement, and failure analysis.
  • Experience with OSAT qualification, production ramp-up, and high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Proven capability in test coverage optimization, test time reduction, and cost improvement.
  • Strong skills in test data analytics and statistical methods.
