Business Unit

The Sales Innovation, Growth and Market Acceleration (SIGMA) group partners with the Sales organization to deliver impactful customer experiences by combining in-depth knowledge of BMC solutions with a deep understanding of the customer's business. By leveraging their technical expertise, value-based selling techniques, and Engagement Excellence deliverables, Sales Engineers play a pivotal role in helping customers discover and realize the value that BMC provides to their organizations.

Within the SIGMA group, the Principal Sales Engineer focuses on high touch transformational sales opportunities, communicating our strategy and vision and how we create real business value for our customers by aligning BMC capabilities to customer business objectives.

You will be working with Control-M, our market-leading agentic AI infused workflow automation tool used to orchestrate application and data workflows. It is designed to help organizations integrate, automate, and manage their workflows across various platforms, supporting system integrations and data pipelines.

This is a high visibility, high impact role based in Singapore and working with our most successful sales teams, our most prestigious clients and with our world-class Sales Engineering team in Asia Pacific.

Primary Roles And Responsibilities

Here is how, through this exciting role, you will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Through a consultative approach, partner with sales teams to interpret often complex customer needs and develop innovative solutions delivering both business and technical value.
• Actively partner with the customer to document their current state, including applicable metrics to assist in defining the correct solution and support the Case for Change
• Culminating from what is uncovered of the customers business and their goals, deliver compelling workshops, RFP's, presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of value.
• Simplifying the communication of both technical and business content to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
• Challenge oneself and be the innovator when it comes to solving everyday problems.

Experience

To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:

• You can embrace, live and breathe our BMC values every day!
• Proven ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
• Demonstrated artistry with creating and delivering compelling demonstrations and presentations.
• Drawing from your previous experiences, you are a subject matter expert on the technical and business use of BMC Control M.

Must Have

• 7+ years experience in a Sales Engineering [presales] capacity, or relatable technical role in a global IT or enterprise software organization.
• In-depth understanding of how sales and presales organizations in technology companies work.
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills (both written & verbal)
• Unquestionable integrity and professionalism and a strong business acumen
• Subject matter expertise on the technical, business use of BMC Control M, or equivalent solution.
• Singaporean citizenship, due to the predominance of public sector BMC customers in Singapore.

Good To Have

• Formal sales training and application of MEDDIC, Miller-Heiman, Sandler, Solution Selling etc.
• Scaled Agile Framework and AWS Cloud Practitioner [or above] certification [or equivalent]
• SAP Certified Professional certification
• Singapore Government Security Clearance, such as G50
