| Major Duties: |
| (a) | To provide academic leadership in managing, planning, reviewing, and developing Childcare, Elderly and Community Services (CECS) programmes and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Council's strategic plans |
| (b) | To lead the academic planning, development, articulation, accreditation, validation, and implementation of pre-employment and in-service training programmes of the CECS Discipline, and ensure programmes remain current and responsive to emerging industry needs and government policies |
| (c) | To play a leading role in the quality assurance of the pre-employment and in- service training programmes and services under the CECS Discipline |
| (d) | To lead and oversee the operations of the Department and Centre under his / her purview to ensure effective delivery of functions and activities |
| (e) | To facilitate donations and funding support for the development of the Discipline and to enhance exchange opportunities for students and |
| (f) | To enhance industry networks and develop collaboration with various stakeholders in the industries, government, and professional bodies / institutes for the development of the CECS Discipline and to facilitate graduate employment. |

| Requirements: |
| (a) | A recognised degree and a post-graduate qualification in Education, Social Work, Elderly care, Psychology, Social Science or other related discipline preferably with relevant professional qualifications |
| (b) | At least 8 years relevant experience at an appropriate level of responsibility |
| (c) | Relevant experience in programme design / development, and / or validation / accreditation in tertiary settings |
| (d) | Good knowledge of quality assurance and accreditation policies in tertiary institutions |
| (e) | Strong academic leadership with good strategic thinking to take forward the initiatives of the Discipline, including academic administration / social service management, placements and / or leadership of industry-based activities and large-scale projects, development of in-service training programmes, corporate training, students articulation and scholarship support |
| (f) | Extensive network capability for organizational development, good people and resource management, entrepreneurial, interpersonal and communication skills |
| (g) | Ability to drive the discipline in applying AI or technology into learning and teaching as well as administration preferrable and |
| (h) | High level of proficiency in both Chinese and English, preferably including Putonghua. |

| (1) | Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
