Role Description
#Major Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to interdisciplinary research projects
Develop and standardize experimental protocols and computational pipelines
Execute wet-lab and/or dry-lab experiments
Perform data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation
Actively contribute to scientific publications and career development
#Research Focus
Deciphering the ecological functions of microbial communities
Identifying key microorganisms with plant growth–promoting and/or antagonistic traits
Elucidating molecular mechanisms by which microbiomes suppress soilborne diseases in soybean and Arabidopsis
#Approaches and Methodologies
Illumina/ONT/PacBio sequencing, 10x Genomics single-cell and spatial omics, and Hi-C
Multi-omics platforms: proteomics, metabolomics, and culturomics
Bioinformatics and multivariate statistics
Molecular cloning, qPCR and dPCR quantification
Genetic transformation in bacteria, fungi, and plants
Microbial and plant genetics/genomics
Qualifications and Benefits
#Postdoctoral Fellows
Ph.D. degree in plant science, plant microbiology, plant pathology, genomics, or related fields
Publication record in Q1/Q2 journals
Initial appointment: 3–6 months, with up to 15% salary bonus (per university policy)
Renewal contracts may include up to 30% salary bonus (per university policy)
Support for international conferences (travel and registration) starting from the second year
#Research Assistants
Master's degree in related fields such as plant science, agronomy, microbiology etc
Fluency in English and Mandarin reading and communication
Initial appointment: 3–6 months, with up to 15% salary bonus (per university policy)
Renewal contracts may include up to 30% salary bonus (per university policy)
#Ph.D. Students
Bachelor's or Master's degree in related fields such as life science, agronomy, genomics etc
Competitive 4-year stipend for Ph.D. period
