Provide sourcing and procurement support for Proof of Concept (POC) projects in an early-stage product development environment. This role is responsible for acquiring components, tooling, and services to enable timely prototype builds, while coordinating closely with engineering, project teams, and vendors to support rapid POC execution.

What You Will Do
- Procurement Strategy & Execution: (1) Evaluate purchasing and fabrication requirements for POC projects by reviewing BOMs, drawings, and 3D models provided by engineering teams. (2) Calibration with Procurement team to execute sourcing strategies aligned with project scope, quality, and lead-time requirements.
- Vendor Coordination & Management: (1) Identify and select suitable vendors from the approved supplier base in collaboration with engineering and procurement teams. (2) Maintain ongoing communication with vendors to track order progress, confirm delivery dates, and resolve technical or commercial issues. (3) Support vendor performance tracking related to delivery, and responsiveness.
- Purchasing Operations & System Execution: (1) Monitor purchase order creation, conversion, and execution status. (2) Perform purchase order follow-up and maintenance to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Logistics & Material Tracking: (1) Track shipments and coordinate with logistics partners to address customs clearance, delivery delays, or shipping issues. (2) Coordinate with inventory clerks to ensure efficient receiving and material availability for POC builds. (3) Support material flow alignment with Model Shop and POC Lab schedules.
- Project Communication & Coordination: (1) Participate in cross-functional project meetings to provide sourcing updates, delivery status, and risk mitigation plans. (2) Maintain procurement activities, delivery milestones, and key updates in Jira. (3) Communicate scope changes, lead-time impacts, and sourcing risks to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Process Improvement & Mentoring: (1) Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on speed-to-prototype and sourcing efficiency. (2) Provide functional guidance to POC clerks on RFQ preparation, Tracking Lead-time, vendor communication, and system usage.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to interpret BOMs, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Experience with procurement systems such as SAP, Coupa, and Jira.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-solving skills with proactive escalation capability.
