You'll collaborate closely with engineering, project teams, and vendors to support rapid prototype builds while managing sourcing strategies, vendor communication, and procurement systems. Our Team
You'll be part of the POC Lab Team, a collaborative group of professionals dedicated to advancing early-stage product development and prototype execution for Molex. Our team works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement functions to deliver innovative solutions and high-quality prototypes for cutting-edge products. We are committed to fostering a dynamic and efficient environment that enables rapid proof of concept (POC) execution and new product development.
What You Will Do
- Evaluate and execute sourcing strategies for POC projects, including reviewing BOMs, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors to manage RFQs, confirm order progress, and resolve issues.
- Create and manage purchase requisitions in systems like SAP and Coupa while ensuring on-time delivery.
- Track shipments, manage logistics, and ensure material availability for POC builds.
- Provide sourcing updates, mitigate risks, and support process improvements for speed-to-prototype.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field, OR equivalent work experience.
- 1+ year of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, including proactive escalation capabilities.
- Ability to interpret BOMs, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Experience with procurement systems such as SAP, Coupa, and Jira.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Technical background with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Experience in prototype or development environments.
- Vendor management experience with a focus on performance tracking.
- Knowledge of logistics, customs clearance, and international shipments.
- Previous experience working in engineering-driven or manufacturing organizations.
