Plant Finance Manager

Location: Thung Khwang

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Business Strategy

1. Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the plant.
2. Develop financial plans and long-term strategies in alignment with business objectives.
3. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making.
4. Partner with plant management and key stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, cost management, and profitability.
5. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide explanations and corrective action plans for significant variances.

2. Financial Reporting & Compliance

1. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
2. Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
3. Prepare management reports highlighting financial performance, key KPIs, variances, risks, and business insights.
4. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, internal policies, and reporting requirements.
5. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support the implementation of appropriate risk management and control measures.

3. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance

1. Oversee cost accounting activities, including standard costing, product costing, cost variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
2. Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities to improve productivity and optimize cost structures.
3. Monitor production expenses and work with relevant departments to control and reduce unnecessary costs.
4. Review inventory accuracy through cycle counts, investigate variances, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
5. Support product cost calculations and selling price analysis to maintain profitability and competitiveness.

4. Internal Control & Risk Management

1. Establish, implement, and continuously improve financial control systems and procedures.
2. Identify financial, operational, and business risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
3. Ensure effective controls are in place to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
4. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements.

5. Team Leadership & Development

1. Lead, manage, and develop the Finance team at the Thung Khwang plant.
2. Set clear objectives, monitor team performance, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
3. Promote accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development within the Finance function.
4. Support talent development and succession planning for key Finance positions.

6. Financial Systems & Process Improvement

1. Drive the improvement, automation, and digitalization of financial processes.
2. Lead or support ERP implementation and enhancement projects related to Finance and Accounting.
3. Ensure financial data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across relevant systems.
4. Develop and implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

7. Investment & Business Support

1. Provide financial analysis for capital expenditure and investment projects.
2. Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support investment decisions.
3. Conduct financial feasibility studies for new projects and business initiatives.
4. Evaluate projected and actual ROI and provide recommendations to optimize financial returns.
5. Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic business projects.

8. Standards, Audit & Compliance

1. Ensure Finance operations comply with company standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
2. Support compliance with applicable Quality, Safety, Hygiene, Environmental, GMP, and other operational standards.
3. Coordinate with relevant departments during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
4. Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, risk awareness, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Cost Accounting, or Manufacturing Finance.
3. Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Plant Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar leadership role.
4. Strong experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
5. Good understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, audit processes, and accounting principles.
6. Experience in product costing, standard costing, inventory control, and variance analysis.
7. Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into practical business recommendations.
8. Experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, and ROI evaluation.
9. Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience developing Finance teams.
10. Experience with ERP systems and financial process improvement/digitalization.
11. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
12. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
