Job Description

Purpose of the Position:

The Planning Supervisor leads production planning, material planning, and buying activities to support manufacturing operations. This role converts demand forecasts and customer orders into executable production and material plans, ensuring on‑time delivery, efficient inventory levels, and stable shop‑floor execution through close cross‑functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Master Production Plans (MPS) based on demand forecasts, customer orders, capacity, and material availability.
  • Define and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production targets; address plan variances.
  • Oversee material planning (MRP) to ensure uninterrupted production and optimized inventory levels. • Supervise procurement activities and supplier follow‑up to ensure timely material availability in line with material plans.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Sales, Quality, and Logistics to resolve production and supply issues.
  • Track and report key KPIs such as schedule adherence, on‑time delivery, and inventory performance.
  • Continuously improve planning processes, workflows, and ERP/MRP or other systems effectiveness.
  • Lead, prioritize, and support planning team members to ensure effective execution.

Required Qualifications (Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to integrate demand forecasts and customer orders into executable plans.
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role is required.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Possess project management experience and capabilities
  • Excellent communication and cross functional coordination skills.
