A leading global logistics company is seeking a Planning & Procurement Executive to join its growing team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and plan shipment space utilisation to maximise loading efficiency
- Coordinate with airlines on rates, bookings, shipment tracking and operational matters
- Manage freight bookings and ensure timely shipment uplift
- Maintain and review buying and selling rates with customers and carriers
- Handle RFQs and tender submissions
- Coordinate with sales, customer service and warehouse teams to ensure smooth shipment execution
- Plan shipment consolidations and monitor freight status updates
- Prepare progress reports and profit/loss analysis for stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in air freight planning, procurement or freight forwarding
- Experience liaising with airlines and handling freight bookings is preferred
- Strong problem-solving, organisational and time management skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work rotating shifts, including night shifts and alternate weekends
