Job Title:Performance Engineer
Location:Pune
Experience: 5-8 years in CI/CD / DevOps / Embedded Linux Performance Engineering
We are seeking a skilled CI/CD & Performance Engineer - Telematics Platform (OS) to design and optimize build pipelines, automation frameworks, and system performance for next-generation connected vehicle platforms.
This role focuses on enabling robust CI/CD pipelines for Yocto-based Linux systems, while driving performance optimization across OS, middleware, and applications in embedded automotive environments.
You will work closely with OS, middleware, application, and cloud teams to ensure fast, reliable builds and high-performance system behavior on target hardware (TCU).
Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for OS platform using tools like Jenkins
Automate build, integration, testing, and deployment workflows for Yocto-based systems
Manage and optimize Yocto build systems, including caching, parallel builds, and artifact handling
Define and implement automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, regression)
Monitor and improve build performance and pipeline efficiency
Analyze and optimize system performance (CPU, memory, boot time, latency) across:
.OS (Linux kernel, services)
.Middleware (SOME/IP communication)
.Applications
Develop tools and scripts for performance profiling, benchmarking, and analysis
Identify and resolve system bottlenecks and performance issues
Enable continuous performance monitoring and reporting
Collaborate with development teams to drive performance improvements and best practices
Support release management and version control strategies
.Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or equivalent)
.Experience in build automation, pipeline design, and deployment workflows
.Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, and version control
.Hands-on experience with Yocto Project (build optimization, recipes, layers)
.Strong understanding of embedded Linux systems and cross-compilation
.Experience in build system debugging and issue resolution
.Strong experience in system performance analysis and optimization
.Knowledge of profiling tools (top, htop, perf, valgrind, etc.)
.Understanding of CPU, memory, I/O, and network performance tuning
.Proficiency in shell scripting and Python for automation
.Experience in building custom tools for monitoring and analysis
.Experience in automotive domain (telematics, ECUs, connected vehicles)
.Knowledge of SOME/IP and middleware performance tuning
.Exposure to containerization (Docker/Podman)
.Experience with cloud-based CI/CD or DevOps pipelines
.Familiarity with OTA/FOTA workflows and release processes
.CI/CD pipelines for OS (Yocto-based Linux platform)
.Build and release automation for automotive software stack
.Performance optimization across OS, middleware, and applications
.Tooling for profiling, benchmarking, and monitoring system performance
.Ensuring fast, stable, and scalable build and deployment systems
