Molex is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to enhance the PCB design process to optimize cost, efficiency, signal integrity (SI) performance, and manufacturability. You will be working with internal and external customers while also working closely with external suppliers.
The PCB Design Engineer will design, review, and validate board designs to meet all the requirements for each individual board. You will coordinate with the Molex global SI, hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing team to verify the board meets all requirements for all internal Molex groups. You will also work with the supplier fabrication houses to optimize designs for cost and manufacturing speed.

What You Will Do
Design new boards for use in connectors or cables either from scratch or off an existing design
Design new testing boards to measure and validate connector and cable performance
Work with other Molex groups to optimize the design for performance, cost, and manufacturing
Work closely with supplier PCB fabrication houses to optimize designs by answering engineering questions and implementing them into our designs
Recommend changes in designs or procedures to improve designs, efficiency, and cost
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
B.E./B.Tech Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
1+ years in high-speed PCB design
Experience in designing and validating high speed digital, analog, and mixed signal PCBs
Good knowledge of electronic devices and circuits
Demonstrate ability in problem solving, sound judgment, and leadership
Good verbal and written skills
Provide effective documentation for engineering processes, layout, checklists, fabrication, and deviation reports
Interaction with PCB suppliers to implement low cost and innovative technology
Experienced in ECAD/EDA tools such as Allegro PCB editor, Orcad Capture, CAM350, Mentor graphics PADS, GerbTool, Polar Impedance Calculator
Good knowledge in IPC PCB design guidelines
Experience in component selection and validation
Experience in participating in design reviews with internal/external customers
An understanding of the causes of SI/EMC/EMI/ESD problems in electronic circuits and best practice methods employed to overcome these
Technical expertise to handle projects independently
