Job Description

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Strategy and Planning

  • Plan events with partners to support one or more of the following objectives: leads generation, cvp enhancement, Existing client engagement
  • Cross border partner engagement plan
  • Work closely with leadership team, and cross-functional segmentation and marketing team to develop and execute a growth strategy
  • Identify business opportunities in the region
  • Periodic review of leads from sources (both internal and external) to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Manage follow up on events to maximise ROI
  • Internal partner engagement tactical/activities
  • Maintain sales volume, incrementation AUM and wealth penetration by keeping abreast on changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Build, scale and grow the sales team capabilities to consistently deliver high performance
  • Determine annual unit & revenue plans by implementing campaign strategies and analyzing trends & results
  • First line of defence for AML risks
  • Ensure onboarding process (rao, AO, upgrade, KYC) aligns with bank's AML policies
  • Conduct callback /video conference with clients to establish identity when required
  • Validate screening and checks (including worldchecks and bank's required screening)
  • On the ground compliance officer to ensure KYC writeup complies and justifies
  • Activities management to maintain call rates
  • Reviews call when necessary
  • Staying updated on market Trends and opportunities to adjust criteria to leads generation (including Tactical Trends, spend patterns)

Business Performance and Management

Wealth Conversation

  • Drives wealth conversation appts for NTB
  • Reviews handover mail to RMs for clients with wealth planning needs
  • Drives follow up activities
  • Review on periodic results to identify learning points

Rfi/str Support

  • Manages bank risk by reviewing information gathered at onboarding are justifiable
  • Ensure prompt follow up on Rfi cases
  • Identify gaps and arrange for training to improve

Business Travel

  • Plan business trips agenda
  • Ensure adherence to guidelines and ROE of respective countries
  • Obtain respective clearance prior to travel
  • Control business trip budget with pre set limit of each category of expenses
  • Post trip evaluation at team and individual level
  • Set criteria for travel where required

People Management

  • Manpower management, talent acquisition, talent retention
  • Headcount requisition and candidate onboarding process inclusive of operation matters
  • Business continuity plan for unit
  • Ensure integrity and work ethics when delivering business objectives
  • Building bench strength and people development plan
  • Comply with all internal policies, procedures, processes as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Attend all trainings
  • Point of contact for AML matters/queries pertaining to client onboarding
  • Conduct regular AML training and refresher
  • Manages audit requirement and communication with group audit for BD&A unit
  • Propose, design and implement AML guidelines pertaining client onboarding to safeguard the bank from AML risk
  • Identify breaches and propose corrective actions

Regulatory Compliance

  • Comply with all internal policies, procedures, processes as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Attend all trainings
  • Point of contact for AML matters/queries pertaining to client onboarding
  • Conduct regular AML training and refresher
  • Manages audit requirement and communication with group audit for BD&A unit
  • Propose, design and implement AML guidelines pertaining client onboarding to safeguard the bank from AML risk
  • Identify breaches and propose corrective actions

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in any discipline

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing Requirements

  • Relevant accreditations (M1b, M5, M6, M8, M8a, M9, M9a, HI) would be an advantage

Relevant Work Experience

  • More than 10 years of leadership experience in banking/financial industry, hands-on experiences in partnership & event management is preferred
  • Strong people managerial expertise and has successfully led high performing teams
  • Ability to build strong connections with partners and other sources of acquisition
  • Project management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast paced environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of excellence, self motivated & results driven
  • Excellent relationship management & communication skills to engage customer of all levels with assertiveness
  • Commercial acumen - Knowledge of the market, current market trends, competitive behavior & strategy
  • Effectively bi-lingual, ability to converse in foreign languages would be an advantage
  • Ability to travel to regional countries for business trips when required

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial compliance and regulatory requirements in Singapore
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
