Department / Section : Department of Fashion and Image Design

Specialism:
Creative Pattern Cutting and 3D modelling for Fashion Image Design

Major Duties:
(a)	To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement
(b)	To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration
(c)	To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials including feasibility study and syllabus writing
(d)	To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes and
(e)	To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars, exhibitions and graduation show.

Requirements:
(a)	A recognised degree in Fashion Design / Fashion Image Design, or equivalent professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification
(b)	At least 3 years relevant teaching and/or industry experience
(c)	Good teaching, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills
(d)	Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua
(e)	High motivation for programme and new project development
(f)	Preferably with hands-on experience in the relevant field and
(g)	Proven records of linkage with industry / professional bodies would be an advantage.

Notes:
(1)	Applicants with less relevant experience and / or qualification may be considered for the post of Part-time Assistant Lecturer, at the rank of Teaching Associate.
(2)	Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3)	Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment.
(4)	Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis.
