School for Higher and Professional Education (Sha Tin)

The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC's Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for the post of Part-time Lecturer post offered by SHAPE (Sha Tin) for a part-time degree programme, BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering, in the academic year 2025/26.
Subject Areas:
(I) Low Carbon Building Services
(II) Mechanical Services
(III) Design Project
(IV) Interactive Systems and Comfort Controls
(V) Energy Management and Performance Evaluation
Major Duties:
(a) To conduct lectures / seminars / perform teaching duties at the bachelor's degree level
(b) To mark and provide guidance on students assessments and projects
(c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials
(d) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration, including serving in academic and other related meetings and
(e) To participate in school projects and functions and attend professional training and/or seminars, where necessary.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised master's degree in related discipline(s)
(b) At least 4 years relevant teaching experience at tertiary / degree level or relevant work experience and
(c) Preferably with knowledge of IESVE (Integrated Environmental Solutions Virtual Environment) software.
Note:
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
