School for Higher and Professional Education (Chai Wan)

The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC's Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for the post of Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer for the full-time programme of BSc (Hons) Food Science and Nutrition offered at SHAPE (Chai Wan) in the academic year 2026/27.

Subject Area:
Food Quality and Safety

Major Duties:
(a)	To conduct lectures / perform teaching duties at the bachelor's degree level
(b)	To mark and provide guidance / feedback on students assessments and projects
(c)	To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials
(d)	To carry out academic related administration duties, including serving in academic and other related meetings and
(e)	To participate in school projects and functions, where necessary.

Requirements:
(a)	A recognised master's degree, and/or equivalent professional qualification in related discipline(s)
(b)	At least 4 years relevant teaching experience at tertiary / degree level or relevant work experience in the subject area concerned and
(c)	Good presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese.

Note:
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
