Major Duties:
(a)
To conduct lectures and workshops / tutorials of the assigned module(s) including the preparation of teaching materials, supervision of students projects, marking student assessments and other academic activities
(b)
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration
(c)
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning assessment materials and
(d)
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions and
(e)
To attend meetings when necessary.
Requirements:
(a)
A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification
(b)
At least 3 years relevant teaching and/or industry experience
(c)
At least one screenplay adapted into a television programme or film
(d)
A relevant professional qualification in television or film screenwriting (e.g., being a member of the Hong Kong Screenwriter's Guild (HKSWG)) is an advantage
(e)
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua
(f)
A good team player with a proactive attitude
(g)
Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development and
(h)
Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and/or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage.
Notes:
(1)
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(2)
Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.
(3)
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and outside campus.
(4)
Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available.
